Welcome to Pa'lante Family Technology Center

BACKGROUND

Pa’lante Family Technology Center is a tax exempt charitable 501(c)(3) organization that provides a space for community partners to come together, share resources, and support one another. It was created in direct response to the educational needs of the Hispanic and Latino population in the city of Richmond, Virginia. Its mission is to foster a welcoming and accessible space for Spanish-speaking families through various programs with key community partners. Its vision is to minimize crippling issues related to literacy, language, and cultural barriers, including, in no particular order, isolation, lack of employment opportunities, and the vast disconnect with navigating the United States educational and healthcare systems.

PURPOSE

The purpose of Palante is to:

1. Foster collaboration and networking among community partners

2. Offer a shared space for meetings, events, and activities

3. Provide access to resources, training, and capacity-building opportunities

4. Support collective impact and community-led initiatives

5. Promote social justice, equity, and community empowerment

By providing a space for community partners, Palante aims to strengthen community relationships, amplify marginalized voices, and drive positive change in the community.

The environment is designed to encourage an inclusive, interactive and safe learning space for members of the community.
